Creating Paradise Within the Inferno: A Spiritual Autobiography

At 21, I bought a one-way ticket to Mexico with the last of my money.

I was not chasing a vacation. I was trying to find a life.

Something in me knew there had to be more than exhaustion, quiet despair, and the small, sensible future I was supposed to accept. So I left with very little money, no clear plan, and a strange faith that the world might open if I was willing to step beyond the life I had been given.

What followed was a decade-long journey through yoga, psychedelics, plant medicine, cacao ceremonies, astrology, channeling, spiritual communities, lovers, teachers, breakdowns, breakthroughs, and the long, humbling process of coming back to myself.

Creating Paradise Within the Inferno is about the ecstasy and danger of seeking. It is about the hunger for truth, the longing for home, the beauty of alternative worlds, and the disillusionment that can come when spiritual spaces become tangled with projection, performance, power, and fantasy.

Part memoir, part philosophical inquiry, part cautionary tale, and part love letter to the seeker’s path, this book asks what it really takes to heal, become whole, and build a life rooted in truth.

For years, I lived between two extremes: the ache for self-mastery and the hunger for wild liberation. I put every healing modality and spiritual teaching I encountered to the test, moved from country to country, and followed an unwinding path I could never have planned.

In the end, I came to share the experiences I once wished the whole world could discover — in the hope that others might find deeper meaning, inspiration, and the courage to become more sincerely themselves.

Writing on the Way from Dante Filipini

I will release two books under my given name Dante Vincent Filipini sometime soon, ETA early summer 2026 or sooner.

The first is a comprehensive lifestyle guide that take the wisdom from channeling and metaphysics and applies it to daily life, relationships, inner work, and more. It’s a patchwork sort of book that weaves in details of many practices to give a full spectrum scope of holistic life. It is intended to be a companion to the 1:1 work I offer people.

The other book is my autobiography, included detailed accounts of my journey travelling the world and spiritually seeking. It’s been a long-time vision to bring this into the world, so I am very excited.

For now I can only offer you a collection of my early writing from when I was 18-21 and just starting out. After all these years, something stood out in it that made me feel like it aught to be shared as well.
